Eduardo Raúl born February 20, 1958 in the city of Villaguay (Entre Ríos). It is the oldest of four siblings. With sixteen years is elected president of the Student Center of La Salle and start Montoneros military organization.
In July 1976 was detained for nine days in secret detention center (CCD) of the Communications Squadron of the Army in the city of Paraná. Once released he moved to the city of Rosario, where he lives underground. On 18 December 1976 agreed an appointment to meet his parents. Twenty-four hours before he is kidnapped by the Argentine Army personnel and police of the Province of Santa Fe
be tortured for days in the CCD, known as "The Pit", which works in the basement of Police Headquarters. According to research conducted by his brother William in the years immediately following the dictatorship, and contrasted recently by the Museum of Memory of Rosario, Germano was killed on December 23, 1976. That night the police chief himself Rosario, Commander of Gendarmerie, Augustin Feced, organized a mock attack in the suburb of Fisherton in popping the tortured bodies of Eduardo Raul and his partner. According to information from the Museum of Memory, Eduardo Raul, "the Mencho" was buried on January 4, 1977, without identification, in the cemetery of La Piedad and later transferred to a common ossuary.

The picture takes place in a photo studio near the border with Uruguay. The family goes on vacation. Argentina calls for police ID photo of the boys to allow them to cross the border. His father decides to make a single photo. On white, lowest to highest. Not without some reluctance, finally accepted the name, seal and stapled. Germano pass the customs. Today is one of the few family pictures preserved of the four brothers together.

With a year and months of age difference Guillermo was always my partner in the day. With him I shared a wonderful childhood in the towns of Entre Rios in which we live and with it also the hard atavezamos adolescence marked by dictatorship, which was presented at our house and our lives through the arrest and disappearance of our brother Eduardo "The Mencho."
With Guillermo militancy began just started the '80s, and we visited in southern Argentina '86 working to raise the money with which we embarked on a journey that would lead, over six months, from Paraná to Managua (Nicaragua), passing Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Costa Rica. In 1997 share six months working side by side in the making of "The Eternautas." Since that time we are in many parts of the road. The latter was "absences." His work in and from, the National Register of Truth was fundamental and indispensable in the development of the project.
I have much more to say about it, but it's worthwhile to highlight the legacy he left and allowed him to say that it was consistent with the way you came. This is neither more nor less, which express the words of which I transcribe below CHILDREN.

TO VICTORIA
PARTNER Mench GERMANO

On the afternoon of Wednesday December 9 was a compañerazo us! We was the Mencho. A colleague who used to be a germinating seed, and never pisabrote. This farewell is a tribute to a person who never faltered in the fight to go to prison for the murderers of his brother and the 30,000 fellow prisoners disappeared.
With its stunning arrogance of work, we demonstrated to us and many others that the impossible just takes a little longer, and that what was part of local social imaginary, that there was no Paraná nothing happened, was only a matter of delving into the heart of a society that often decided to keep quiet, but finally realized it was time to talk.
That was how we understood the Single Registry of Truth as the trench from where he had to work the causes of crimes against humanity committed in any Entre Rios. Gradually we see the seed ... the families and fellow survivors were presented as complainants, promoting the reopening of forgotten causes behind the cloak of impunity for 90, opening other new cases in the city of Paraná, and the rest of the provinces.
were more than 5 years of intense work, in which became visible initiatives for Identity Theater, Music and Identity, rejecting impunity Festivals, Exhibitions and Photographic Art as it was ABSENCES, a project that was itself Mencho becoming an imperative to bring to fruition. To
last year share the happiness of finding Gullino our sister Sabrina, who was able to restore their identity from it "crazy" complaint that no one trusted and that the Mencho against all odds, successfully defended the conviction being planted that here in the city of Paraná, just 10 blocks from the center ran a clandestine maternity in the same military hospital. In this way became even more obvious that what happened here was a civic-military dictatorship, opening the way for new cases of children, young people today, there would have been born. Year
which also celebrated the first arrest warrants and we had the first 5 genocidal behind bars for reasons based in the province. Then came another, Moyano, Appiani, Appelhans, Bidinost, Diaz Bessone, Rivas, Zapata, Balcazar, Obaid ... and followed by many more, and go after them, because he could convey the sense of their struggle, our struggle with the belief that flying as flag.
Guillermo "Mencho" Germano with his personality without Gray, known to generate deep hatred but also great and unforgettable love. From the Association parting children wanted so although it costs us find the right words, words that attempt to express the feeling that overcomes us to know that although you are no longer with us, you're always walking beside us, encouraging us to never leave the purpose for which the 30,000 left their blood on the people. Sooner or later, without rest, we'll be together peleándola to victory, always!
