The Llamerada is a type of popular dance of the Andes and the singing and dancing in the countries close to the mountains of South America. The Andean Indians sing and dance using multi-colored dress and adorned with bird feathers. Also use many instruments of musical culture as Quena, which is a f Lalita made of cane or charango , small stringed instrument. (Click on their name and you know more about them)
The word "Llamerada" has its origin in the flame which is an original ruminant mammal of the Cordillera de los Andes, measuring two meters in length.
The following video you can enjoy a true Llamerada, in which the musicians play the traditional instruments of Andean music, and you can also see pictures of flames:
The Llamerada we are learning in our choir is a beautiful song but a little sad, because in it the Indians yearn for their lost lands.
order to practice at home I have prepared in the computer the two voices sung separately and together:
First voice:
Tum, tu, tum, tum, tum, tu, tum (Bis) I look at the lake, watch the mountains, this new day dawns, grasslands, mountains and glaciers, the flickering I follow the steps just for you. (Bis)
Looking for a people lost our love gone, uu (BIS) has disappeared ... gone
